One of those years saw 8 NYPD officers murdered by criminals. I wanted to build it for healing, for comfort, for honor of the good guys. There was too much infighting and political correctness then, indluding Dinkins' and Sharpton's hate.<br />The cops of NYC, of America could still be helped by it. On September 15, 2014, I had a major heart attack and a quadruple bypass but I'm still alive. Why don't we get it built. We need the land, the money to cast it in bronze, and about a year to do the job. Aren't we sick to death of hearing: ''OOOh, not now! Too hot to handle!! like Ray Kelly and Giuilianni said when they won office in 1994. I've still got the start up 200 lbs of clay from the Honor Legion. It's always going to be too hot, but aren't you sick in your heart that maybe it's really, one day, irreparably, going to be too late.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5786851236365462533.post-70667423674719626612014-08-24T16:34:12.738-04:002014-08-24T16:34:12.738-04:00Excellent perspective, Bernard.Excellent perspective, Bernard.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12317599271142294501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5786851236365462533.post-37754600675854163872014-08-24T08:35:02.671-04:002014-08-24T08:35:02.671-04:00Mock drills amongs law enforcement should be done ...Mock drills amongs law enforcement should be done frequently. Like it or not the police must be prepared for unforeseen threat that will be eventually facing us. With threat from within and outside entity all law enforcement agency like it or not must not be caught unprepared.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
